Porting emCORE to a new device is generally a lot of work and requires lots of experience with embedded system development.

The exact amount of work needed varies greatly and depends on the complexity of the device and similarities to devices that emCORE has already been ported to.


Given that your device is locked down heavily to prevent it from running non-approved code, an exploit needs to be found in order to port emCORE to it.

Recently, an exploit has been found and a modified version that works on the iPod nano (6th generation) exists. There is some work in progress in merging the exploit into wInd3x and getting Linux to boot on this model. emCORE is deprecated and no port for iPod nano (6th generation) is expected.
